Our approach in the project about aspiration was the huge variety that goes along with the topic. In the first discussions we realized very fast that there is no right or wrong and no common definition of Aspiration. It is different from person to person and varies from ordinary down-to-earth ideas to uncommon and more unrealistic dreams. But the thing that all the aspirations share is that it is always somehow a search for happiness in life – whether this comes from emotional experiences or from material possessions.

With this perception we started the first part of our project which was an analogue assignment. After collecting different ideas about how to present the topic aspiration in an analogue way our group agreed on creating artsy double exposures that look like movie posters.

Therefore we shot portraits of the five of us in the photo studio. In the editing afterwards we changed them to black and white and created double exposures with the use of photoshop. Because our aspirations are very different and because all of us had an idea in their heads about how their double exposure should look like, everyone created their own poster. 

Afterwards everyone was thinking about a single word or a single sentence that adds the best to the poster and implemented it. We were making sure that the final printed posters harmonize with each other but also have their own style.
